What’s on the Cards for Spark in 2026

JANUARY 2026 | A practical view of what’s on our radar for the year ahead

As the year gets underway, we wanted to share a light snapshot of what’s on the cards for Spark in 2026.

This isn’t a roadmap or a list of promises – it’s simply a view into the areas we’re spending time thinking about and investing in. Importantly, every item on this list has come directly from what we hear in conversations with our clients. Our priorities are shaped by your needs, your challenges, and what you’re trying to achieve.

A few areas on our radar

New ways to support data capability uplift

We’re seeing more clients invest time and energy into better understanding their customer data. We already have the skillset and capability in this space — our focus this year is shaping how we deliver that support in ways that are practical, accessible, and genuinely valuable for your teams.

More Power BI dashboards

Improving visibility and reporting across engagement and outcomes remains a key focus — giving teams across the business access to data that’s clearer, more functional, and easier to act on.

Exploring AI in a practical way

There’s a lot happening in this space, so we’ve started to look at where new technology can actually help with reporting and customer comms development, without adding noise or complexity.

Customer View enhancements

We’re continuing to build on the Customer View application to make it even more useful for frontline teams. This includes things like improved search, Preference Centre integration, on-demand customer comms, and simpler ways to resend customer comms when needed.

Platform reliability and performance

Behind the scenes, we’ll keep investing in the stability, security, and performance of the platform — the unglamorous but important stuff that keeps everything running smoothly.

Secure internet banking communications

We’re exploring ways to save service communications — such as term deposit certificates — securely within customers’ internet banking environments, helping improve security while also reducing reliance on print and post.

Expanding Spark’s integration ecosystem

Connecting Spark with more of the platforms you use is an ongoing focus, including loan origination systems, call-centre platforms, and ID verification solutions.

Quarterly Spark user sessions

This year, we’re planning to introduce quarterly Spark user sessions — something new for us. These sessions will be shaped by client feedback and designed to create space for shared learning, discussion, and practical insights.

Over to you

We’ll share more detail on individual initiatives as they take shape. For now, this is simply about being transparent about where our focus is heading in 2026.

And just as importantly, we’d love to hear what’s on your radar this year. If there are priorities, challenges, or ideas you’re thinking through, we’re always keen to listen, learn and support. Reach out to your Account Manager or shoot us an email to share your thoughts.
